3M™ P100 filter with protection against harmful concentrations of organic vapors, sold by the pair or 50 pairs/case. The 2297 filter has been perfected to make breathing easier and last longer.

P100 filter against harmful concentrations of organic vapors and ozone concentrations up to 10 times the exposure limit allowed by regulatory authorities (CNESST). Sold in a bag containing one pair of filters. These filters are compatible with 3M's 6000, 7000, 7800, 6500 and Ultimate-FX (FF-400) series respirators. This Product complies with NIOSH 42 CFR 84.

3M™ manufacturer's code: 2297 or 7000127451.

NIOSH-approved for environments containing certain oil-based and oil-free particles. The R2297 filter is adequate against harmful concentrations of organic vapors, asbestos in low concentrations for moderate or low risk, mold and silica. It does not offer protection against ozone, and can be used with ozone concentrations fewer than 10 times the exposure limit allowed by the regulatory authorities (CNESST).

This type of respiratory protection filter is made from a patented electrostatic membrane (AEM). It is flame-retardant, waterproof and P100-certified, so it captures particles in ambient air with 99.97% efficiency. The letter "P" stands for "oil proof", indicating that the filtration membrane is highly resistant to oily particles.

Peculiarities of:
This type of respiratory protection filter is made from a patented electrostatic membrane (AEM). It is flame-retardant, waterproof and P100-certified, so it captures particles in ambient air with 99.97% efficiency. The letter "P" stands for "oil proof", indicating that the filtration membrane is highly resistant to oily particles. The 2297 filter has been perfected to make breathing easier and last longer, and is the improved version of the R2097 filter.

It also offers protection against harmful concentrations of organic vapors below the permissible exposure limit. Harmful concentrations are defined as those below OSHA's permissible exposure limit, or another government workplace exposure limit, whichever is lower.

The R2297 filter is suitable for a variety of applications, including vapors emanating from welding, soldering, flashlight cutting, metal casting, soldering, as well as exposure to lead, asbestos in low concentrations for moderate or low risk, cadmium, arsenic and diamino-4,4' diphenylmethane (MDA).

Application:
This filter is used for: protection against solid particles from the processing of minerals, coal, iron ore, cotton, flour and certain other substances. Protection against liquid or oily particles from aerosols that do not emit harmful vapors. Protection against metal fumes emanating from activities involving the heating of metal. Protection against radioactive particles such as uranium and plutonium.

For work involving welding, metal casting, flame cutting, soldering. In general, for work involving the restoration of installations, or almost all construction work. Also affects marine construction, industrial maintenance, metal fabrication and processing, manufacturing in general, heavy industry, mining, the oil and gas industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, but also for food processing without forgetting the transportation field.

Biological particles:
These filters can help reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles, such as mold, Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch's bacillus) responsible for tuberculosis, pandemic influenza (H5N1, H1N1), etc. However, it cannot totally eliminate the risk of infection, pathology or disease. Because of the nature of some biological contaminants, government agencies have been unable to determine exposure limits for all types of contaminants.

Restriction:
Do not use if the user has a beard or suffers from a condition that may prevent direct contact between the edge of the mask and the face. These filters should not be used if the concentration of gases and vapors exceeds the permitted limit. They should also not be used in the presence of particles released during sandblasting, or aerosol concentrations in excess of 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or any other applicable government regulation. These respiratory protection filters should only be used in areas where there is no risk of oxygen deficiency. Do not use for protection if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH).

Maintenance and service life:
The filters are disposable, so there's no maintenance. It has been designed to have an estimated service life of 40 hours or 30 days. These figures are for information purposes only, and should not be used as the sole basis for estimating filter life. Since every working environment is different, it's important to respect the limits set by the manufacturer.
