This set includes a white Tyvek® hood, a flexible breathing tube and a nylon belt, sold individually. No. 9910. The set is for Allegro low pressure supply air respiratory systems, NIOSH approval number TC-19C-331.

Application:
This type of facepiece has been design to cover one’s face, head and neck, and is recommended for workers in need of respiratory protection in industrial, health, food and pharmaceutical sectors. It is necessary if your workers are not finely shaved or having bearded or mustache. 

Specific characteristics of the hood:
The Tyvek® hood is splashing proof. Seams surged to seal in the air flow. One size fit all combine ease and comfort. This hood is disposable and is equipped with a preassembled and integrated head harness for a ready-to-use product. The textile part is made of Tyvek®, that is, a light and abrasion resistant material. The lens low curvature offers an excellent field of vision and reduces annoying reflections and glare. The clear lens consists of 15 mil co-polyester (PETG). The lens doesn’t generate distortion. The size: 6 X 12 inches. (15.2 X 30.4 cm). 

This piece of equipment gets its NIOSH homologation when assembled with the other components recognized by the manufacturer Allegro as part of a complete system. It offers protection to up to 1000 times the permissive exposure limits to contaminants. It is essential to check the associated level of risk when using it. The manufacturer has designed its products for environments with contaminant concentrations that don’t exceed the limit causing immediate death if the pump stops working. This type of equipment offers a protection up to 1000 times the permissible exposure limit set by the CNESST or any other government regulation applicable. 

Specific characteristics of the suspension:
The suspension is designed to simultaneously disgrace with the hood. It is provided with an absorbent fabric at the point of contact with the head. The harness fits easily and holds tightly. The materials used are not disclosed by the manufacturer. 

Characteristic of the breathing tube:
The breathing tube is placed at the back to leave you a free field of view. It is light, flexible and resistant. The OBAC adapter can be removed quickly if needed. The breathing tube has a large diameter which facilitates the maximum supply of air to the worker. The materials used are not disclosed by the manufacturer. This breathing tube must be recovered if you use replacement hoods (RA9910-10). Otherwise, it is included with the purchase of this set. 

Characteristic of the belt:
The nylon belt is worn at the waist. It has a plastic clip that prevents the feed tube from pulling on the hood. This belt must be recovered if you use replacement hoods (RA9910-10). Otherwise, it is included with the purchase of this set. 

Maintenance:
Please note that the textile part of the hood is disposable, thus no maintenance is required. The convenient disposable design is perfect where respirator cleaning or decontamination is difficult, just remove the down tube and clamp before disposal. As regards textile part, they are available on the menu at the bottom of the page (RA9910-10). 

Suggestions:
We strongly recommend self-adhesive clear films (see code RA9910-25). It can extend the life of your hood, especially if you’re doing painting. Eventually, you can replace the textile part of this set; see the code RA9910-10.
