Permanent roof anchorage connector for fall protection. This stainless steel anchorage connector can support a weight of 310 lb (140 kg). Dimensions: thickness: 1/16 po (2 mm), length: 17 ¾ in (45.1 cm), width: 1 3/4 in (42 mm).

Peakworks manufacturer code: V8229104, model: RB-9900

This roof anchorage connector can resist a tensile strength of 5000 lb (22 kN) which meets the standard ANSI Z359.1-2007, but also CSA Z259.15-12. This anchorage is designed to be used by a single worker and can support a worker weighing 310 lb (140 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment. This product can resist hostile environments with rough temperatures from -40°F to 130°F (-40°C to 54˚C).

For a safe installation on wooden framings, install the anchorage connector along the roof peak at least 5 ft. (1.5 m) inward from the leading edge. Inspect the structure on which the worker will be standing to ensure that he is safe and sound from deterioration related accidents. Use nails (not included) for securing the reusable roof anchor to the plywood sheathing. If installed on plywood, under shingles, this roof anchorage may stay o site until rust has its structure compromised.

This device may be installed on metal decking as long as its surface is 24 gauge or thicker. This reusable roof anchors must be installed with a minimum of 10 #8 ¾ in (19 mm) metal sheet screws per side. Anchor must be positioned to apply load in the long axis of the anchor bracket.

It may also be installed on one side of a peaked roof as an anchor point on a flat surface as long as the connecting fall arrest subsystem doesn’t extend over the peak of the roof to the other side. If one wants to work on the opposing roof surface, an additional reusable roof anchor is required to be installed. Consult the manufacturer’s manual for more information about the installation of this roof anchorage connector.

Inspection:

The worker is responsible for visually inspecting his equipment before each use. During this routine inspection, the worker must note any signs of degradation, malfunction, or breakage. The anchor will have to be replaced if any such signs are detected.

On top of this routine inspection, the anchor must be inspected by a qualified person different than the worker. The frequency of these inspections varies according to the manufacturer. Some manufacturers require an inspection every 90 days, others every 180 days, or even yearly. These inspections should be performed more often if your equipment is used in extreme environmental working conditions.

Any equipment that has withstood a fall or an impact must be scrapped.

These anchors come with certification labels.
