Hiigard product code: SWY2CSA-475

Installation steps :
Use a drill preferably with SDS to drill a ½" / 13 mm diameter hole with a minimum depth of 4 ½" / 114 mm. The hole location must be more than 8" / 203 mm from the edge of the slab. The hole must be perpendicular to the slab and free of debris. Installation can be made on a slab at least 7" / 178 mm thick. Concrete strength must be at least 3000 psi / 20.7 MPa. Finally, tighten the bolt to 40 ft-lb / 54.23 N-m. For more details, see the PDF file in the download section. Unfortunately, the file is in English only.

Regarding the anchor point:

Safe installation of this anchor requires a smooth concrete surface to allow complete seating. The concrete must be at least 7" (178 mm) thick and able to withstand a force of 3000 psi (20.7 MPa). This consists of a hexagonal-head concrete bolt and a concrete plug. For further details, please consult the information sheet and instruction manual in PDF format in the Download section.

Environmental operating temperatures recommended by the manufacturer are -30 °F to + 130 °F / -34 °C to + 54 °C. Anchor weight: 1.2 Lb (0.5 Kg)

The user of this anchor must be aware of the fall hazards surrounding him. Among other factors, is there an adequate fall clearance below the work area? Are there any obstacles in the way? Are there emergency measures in place to recover a fallen worker? These are all questions one must ask himself.

Inspection:
The worker is responsible for visually inspecting his fall protection equipment before each use. During this routine inspection, the worker must note any signs of degradation, malfunction, or breakage. Any anchor showing signs of wear and tear must be scrapped.

On top of this routine inspection, the anchor must be inspected by a qualified person different than the worker. These inspections should be performed more often if your equipment is used in extreme environmental working conditions.

Replace the anchor as soon as it has withstood an impact or arrested a fall. It is recommended to disassemble the anchor and to dispose of each part separately, so as to avoid accidental reuse of the anchor.

Suggestion:
To complete your fall protection you will find a range of harness, lanyards and self-retracting lanyards. Some products are suggested under the "accessories" tab at the bottom of this page.

Other equipment frequently used with this safety harness:

Safety glasses YA12E91001
Liberty TA14LR safety helmet and the essential TA14CS chin strap
EPTCONE28B Traffic Cones
Peakworks FPBAG storage bag
