These gloves meet European anti-vibration glove standards EN ISO 10819 and American standard ANSI S2.73-2002 (R 2007).

The level of protection from mechanical hazards is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers, in this case 2222, where the resistance to abrasion is 2/4, the cut resistance is 2/5, the tear resistance is 2/4 and the puncture resistance is 2/4.

GV413 peculiarities:
This mechanic’s style anti-vibration glove is made of a white leather palm and a black nylon back. Under the leather palm lays an individual chamber holding the antivibration film, that is, a sheet of urethane bladders strategically located on the palm and fingers to provide maximum hand protection. Such technology prevents hand fatigue and micro-injuries to the hand, wrist, arm and shoulder. This glove is provided with an adjustable Velcro^® closure at the wrist to keep in place.

Cowgrain properties:
The grain, in this case, cowgrain, comes from the slitting of thicker hides in two sheets: the surface of the skin, the finest part known as ‘full grain’ is the real leather as opposed to the subsurface, known as split-leather. Cowgrain is mainly the most popular leather on the market since cowhide strikes a good balance of durability, dexterity, abrasion resistance, and comfort besides being quite cost-efficient.

Nylon properties:
Nylon provides mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. It resist well to wear and tear, especially to abrasion, it doesn’t strain the hand and offers a good insulation to heath but to open flames. Nylon doesn’t absorb much, which makes it a good glove material if one needs to stay dry.

Urethane properties:
Urethane provides good chemical and mechanical properties. This material has a great resilience, it is not known to distort itself, it is also abrasion-resistant, cut-resistant and tear-resistant. It resists to various chemicals, UV light and liquids since it absorbs nothing whatsoever.

Use for:
This type of glove is recommended to workers dealing with tools such as hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, sanders, jackhammers, riveting tools, chainsaws and grinders. This glove protects from abrasion, impacts and vibrations which make it an excellent candidate to protect workers from hand-held or hand guided power tools.

Limitations:
Of course, this glove offers no sure protection against frostbites, cuts, wear, tear and puncture so mechanical risks should not be overlooked. This glove moreover helps absorb and dampen impacts and vibrations, but can’t possibly prevent Raynaud’s disease or vibration white fingers disease which is a recognized industrial disease affecting blood circulation.

Maintenance and service life:
It is not recommended to wash this glove since water and soap tend to rob leather of its natural oils which makes it stiffen and become brittle. If the nature of your work requires that you wash them, we recommend that you dry clean them.
