The level of protection from mechanical hazards is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers, in this case 3242, where the resistance to abrasion is 3/4, the cut resistance is 2/5, the tear resistance is 4/4 and the puncture resistance is 2/4.

G473 peculiarities:
This cotton and nylon blend vibration dampening glove is quite cost-efficient for the excellent dexterity it offers. The chloroprene pods which cover the palm side of the hand encapsulate air to cushion and dampen vibration. Such technology prevents hand fatigue and micro-injuries to the hand, wrist, arm and shoulder. 

Cotton properties:
Cotton has a high water-absorbing capacity and can deal as well with sebum without getting damp. This fabric also has good breathable characteristics, it is hypoallergenic and it offers a nice touch and good comfort which suits perfectly to those who have sensitive skin. Cotton has low thermal-conductivity, therefore in summer it prevents your skin from heating, and in winter it preserves the warmth of your body. 

Nylon properties:
Nylon provides mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. It resist well to wear and tear, especially to abrasion, it doesn’t strain the hand and offers a good insulation to heath but to open flames. Nylon doesn’t absorb much, which makes it a good glove material if one needs to stay dry.

Use for:
This type of glove is recommended to workers dealing with tools such as hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, sanders, jackhammers, riveting tools, chainsaws and grinders. This glove protects from abrasion, impacts and vibrations which make it an excellent candidate to protect workers from hand-held or hand guided power tools.

Limitations:
Of course, this glove offers no sure protection against frostbites, cuts, wear, tear and puncture so mechanical risks should not be overlooked. This glove moreover helps absorb and dampen impacts, but can’t possibly prevent carpal tunnel syndrome nor avoid the development of occupational diseases due to repetitive work.

Maintenance and service life:
It is recommended to carry out a basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is, 85°F/30°C and a mild detergent. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
