This product is a permanent encapsulant design to be used on asbestos. It is recommended for worksite where the asbestos cannot be removed neither left in the present state. Once dry, this product will provide a thin but solid layer 6 to 10 mils thick which will protect the premises from any physical degradation of any material, thus preventing the release of asbestos fibres.
- Dilution: this product most be used lock, stock and barrel
- Acreage: Depends on the thickness and porosity of the material; average 40 to 40 ft2/gal(US)
The pasty consistency of this product makes it easy to apply indoor as well as outdoor, and on surfaces such as pipes, air ducts, joints, etc. It may be applied with a paintbrush, a paint roller, a caulking gun or handheld sprayer for viscous fluid. This encapsulant can seal most materials, even those already covered with encapsulant agent. Once dry, this product becomes a thin but solid layer which can resist temperature ranging from -29°C to 93°C (20°F to 200°F). All recommended equipment are listed in the technical data sheet posted below as a PDF file.
The total drying time depends on the thickness of the layer as well as on the surrounding conditions, that is, temperature and humidity rate. No details on the drying time are specified in the technical data sheet.
