Wastewater filtration pump for S5000 series TeleShower decontamination shower (SAH6). This pump is supplied with a 25 µm first stage filter and a 5 µm second stage filter.

This pump has been specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the TeleShower S5000 series portable decontamination shower (item SAH6). The pump includes a two-stage filtration system. The first stage filter removes particles 25 µm and larger. The second stage filter removes particles 5 µm and larger.

Warning; please open the filter tanks an remove the packaging before operating the pump.

This equipment requires a 110 V, 60 Hz circuit to operate properly. The 0.1 HP engine generates a filtration flow of 6 US gal/minute or 23 L/minute. 

Warning: The pump requires two 3/4" garden hoses with female NPT threading, for the water inlet and the drain outlet. These hoses are not included.

In addition, the power wire must be long enough to connect directly to the power terminal. The pump power cord is not included as lengths vary from project to project.

For the pump feed wire, the manufacturer specifies the recommended extensions:

For lengths of 1 to 12 feet; one extension with #14-gauge wire.
For lengths of 13 to 24 feet; one extension with #12 wire.
For lengths of 25' to 36'; one extension with #10 wire.

The pump must be primed by filling it with clean water before use in order to avoid any component damage. The pump should never be run dry. Read the manual before operating the pump.

Please note that once the decontamination shower has been used, both pump filters will contain asbestos fibers or other hazardous materials. Handle filters as hazardous waste. Apply necessary caution and wear proper protective equipment.

Please note that this pump has a design defect: galvanic corrosion occurs rapidly due to its dissimilar metal components. Although this pump is recommended for its price-quality ratio, please plan to also acquire replacement parts upon purchase.
