Superior manufacturer’s code: 321BOA
G915 peculiarities:
This easy to don and duff mitt is design to allow the index to be separated for more dexterity without giving up the cozy warmth. All seams are sewn on the top of the hand which allows a better resistance to abrasion, wear and tear. The leather used for this mitt is quite resistant to abrasion and offers an average protection from cold while repelling water. This mitt is ideal for outside activities which don’t require too much dexterity.
Cowgrain properties:
The grain, in this case, cowgrain, comes from the slitting of thicker hides in two sheets: the surface of the skin, the finest part known as ‘full grain’ is the real leather as opposed to the subsurface, known as split-leather. Cowgrain is mainly the most popular leather on the market since cowhide strikes a good balance of durability, dexterity, abrasion resistance, and comfort besides being quite cost-efficient.
Acrylic-pile properties:
Acrylic is a warm material often used for winter gear. This fabric substitutes quite well wool, since it is more cost-effective, dries easily and quickly and keeps us warm and dry. In turns, it is not as resistant as wool and tends to pill to create a raised effect. Moreover, it may be cheaper and slightly warmer than Thinsulate™ according to the manufacturer results; it is also bulkier than Thinsulate™. BOA acrylic scored an 8/10 concerning its insulating quality, but provides a lesser dexterity.
Use for:
This glove are recommended for workers in refrigerated warehouses, on construction sites in winter conditions, for agriculture and ranching activities, for general maintenance and for forklifting.
Do not use for:
Of course, this glove offers no sure protection against frostbites, cuts, wear, tear and puncture so mechanical risks should not be overlooked.
Maintenance and service life:
It is not recommended to wash this glove since water and soap tend to rob leather of its natural oils which makes it stiffen and become brittle. If the nature of your work requires that you wash them, we recommend that you dry clean them.
