This level of protection is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers, in this case 4121, where the resistance to abrasion is 4/4, the cut resistance is 1/5, the tear resistance is 2/4 and the puncture resistance is 1/4.
G500 peculiarities:
This premium quality winter cotton glove is coated with a high-grade low-temperature formula PVC which prevents the cracking of the coating. This glove offers an excellent protection from mechanical and chemical risks. Its finish offers moreover a welcomed adherence, that is, on dry as well as on wet surfaces.
Cotton properties:
Cotton has a high water-absorbing capacity and can deal as well with sebum without getting damp. This fabric also has good breathable characteristics, it is hypoallergenic and it offers a nice touch and good comfort which suits perfectly to those who have sensitive skin. Cotton has low thermal-conductivity, therefore in summer it prevents your skin from heating, and in winter it preserves the warmth of your body.
PVC properties:
PVC is a thermoplastic polymer featuring excellent mechanical and chemical properties even when heated. Indeed PVC shows a considerable resilience to many chemical products, but is susceptible to some organic solvents. However, PVC has a higher polar nature which gives it inferior electrical insulating properties.
Use for:
This glove is recommended for workers in the field of construction, utilities, commercial fishing and for maintenance in general. This glove is actually ideal for those in need of a chemical and thermal protection.
Do not use for:
Please note that PVC offers no good resistance to some organic solvents and that these gloves give you only a limited protection from cuts, wear, tear and puncture, it will thus not eliminate the risk of accidental injury.
Maintenance and service life:
It is not recommended to wash this glove since it is afterward quite difficult to get all dry.
