This type of gloves provides an excellent dexterity, resist to punctures and protects from a large range of chemical products. The textured surface provides high adherence on wet surfaces as well as on dry surfaces without jeopardizing tactile sensitivity. This particular model of glove contains absolutely no natural latex. Moreover, the 6 mils thickness provides a stronger resistance which is ideal for workers on heavy-duty work. The GL7007 meets The Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) requirement which has granted it an acceptable quality limit (AQL) index of 1,5. It has been designed for mechanics and other professional heavy-duty jobs that use chemicals such as grease, oils, solvents, lacquers, alcohols, glue, turpentine, paint and paint thinners.
Use for:
There are many places where these gloves may be used, however take into account the performance limitations of the product. You may use this type of glove for sanitary maintenance, private security industry, general manufacturing facilities where there is handling, painting, printing, etc. Nitrile is the best latex-free alternative for workers who may allergic to latex or get into contact with one who is. Nitrile is resistant to many chemicals products and most potentially pathogenic adventitious and infectious agents. Based upon the thickness of the glove, nitrile enables the handling of toxic chemicals.
Do not use for:
Nitrile lays down no special restrictions, since it has been designed to address mechanical, chemical and biological risks. It is just a matter of knowing which thickness is suitable for your type of application. The more the glove is thick, the more it offers mechanical and chemical resistance. Here lies the rub; nitrile is twice as expensive as vinyl and cost a little more than natural rubber latex.
Maintenance and service life:
This model of glove is designed for single use and should never be reused. It is strongly recommended to dry hands before donning gloves and to wash hands right away after duffing gloves. Disposable glove often comes already punctured of microscopic holes that are invisible to the naked eye. It is not advised to apply lotion before wearing gloves since skin moisturizer reduces the natural resistance of the skin. Moisturizers may as well contain ingredients which may weaken the chemical and mechanical resistance of the glove. To line gloves is common practise since it provides a greater protection, especially against biological hazard.
