Moldex N95 NIOSH 42 CFR 84 approved particulate respirator equipped with an exhalation valve for protection from airborne contaminants. Sold per box of 10 units, 12 boxes/case.

This respirator is made of a patented electrostatically charged microfiber that makes breathing easier and cooler. It is certified N95 which means it protects the user from 95% of the solid, liquid and non-oil based particles in the air. The letter "N" stands for "non-resitant", thus the membrane doesn’t protect one from oil based particles, but protects from solid, liquid and biological airborne contaminants.

Moldex 2300 respirator features an exhalation valve which helps the wearer to keep cool and reduces potential for eyewear fogging. In short, it provides comfortable and reliable basic respiratory protection that eases the wearing of safety glasses. The straps are design with stapled dual point attachment which helps provide a secure fit.

What differenciate Moldex respirators from others is their patented Dura-Mesh® outer shell and Sofspun® inner shell. These materials allow the shell to take its original shape even if folded and keep its shape in warm and damp environments. The straps are design with stapled dual point attachment which helps provide a secure fit. This respirator may not fit on everyone due to the fact that it doesn’t feature a nosepiece to adjust the mask. Made in the USA.

Use for:
This product is made for long term work in a warm and damp environment. It is design for grinding, sanding, sweeping, bagging, woodworking, foundries and other dusty operations. It can be used for protection from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour and other dusty substances, and non-oil based liquids and sprays that do not emit harmful vapours. NIOSH certified respirators (N95, N100, R95, R100, P95 and P100) protect one from silica, the second main cause of chronic respiratory problems after asbestos.

Biological particles:
This respirator helps prevent the inhalation of certain airborne biological particles like mold, Bacillus anthracis (Anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Tubercle bacillus Koch) the main causative agent of tuberculosis, pandemic flues (H5N1, H1N1), etc. However, it cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness or disease. Due to the nature of some contaminants, the exposure limit value of some products and byproducts haven’t been quantified by governmental agencies, thus wearing a respirator doesn’t necessarily protects you.

Do not use for:
Do not use on a beard and other facial hair or if the user suffers from a condition that prevents him from having direct contact with the respirator’s sides. The use of respirators is not recommended to people with compromised respiratory system such as asthma or emphysema. It is strongly discouraged to wear a respirator for application with oil based spray, brush painting, gases, vapours, asbestos and sandblasting. It is also highly advised to stay away from environment that exceed 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by the CNESST or any other government regulation applicable. One should never use a respirator in an oxygen deprived environment (an atmosphere with less than 19,5 % oxygen).

Whenever the respirator is well adjust and a qualitative fit test is successful, this respirator meets ANSI Z92.2-1992 standards, that is, a protection factor of 10. This factor means that the worker can be exposed to a concentration 10 times higher than the exposure limit when not protected. If needed, please contact customer service for more information.

Maintenance and service life:
No maintenance is needed since this respirator is disposable.  It has been design for an approximate service life of 8 hours. That number is in no way a reference since every work environments is different. The manufacturer’s limitations must be followed.
