Bradley ceiling-mounted emergency safety shower (S19130), with vertical water supply and plastic showerhead. Certified ANSI Z358.1-2009.
This emergency safety shower has a flow of 22 GPM (83.3 L/min), exceeding the minimum flow requirement of 20 GPM (76 L/min). This shower does not include a device for controlling water temperature.
Ideal for laboratories, medical facilities, industries, workshops, garages, airports, food processing plants, paper mills, and any other places where workers risk being exposed to dust, particulates, and/or hazardous, irritating or corrosive materials.
This ceiling-mounted emergency safety shower has a vertical water supply and can be installed in open areas. It is designed to accommodate ceilings of 8 feet (2.44 m). The emergency safety shower is easy to activate in a single step, simply by pulling on the rigid, triangular handle. Once activated, the emergency safety shower will stay on until manually turned off by returning the handle to its original position.
The emergency safety shower has a SpinTec yellow ABS plastic showerhead that imparts a spiralling motion to the water jet, allowing an even flow of water over a larger area. Pipes are made of galvanized steel protected by yellow Bradtec covering. This safety shower does not include a drainpipe.
The package includes:
- Parts necessary for the installation of the emergency shower and the connection to a water supply (some parts are not supplied, see instructions)
- 1 universal safety sign to indicate the location of the emergency shower
- 1 inspection tag
- 1 trilingual instructions booklet (English, French, Spanish). PDF version also available, see below.
The manufacturer recommends the installation of a thermostatic valve in order to comply with ANSI Z358.1-2009 standards. A thermostatic valve keeps rinsing water at a lukewarm temperature. Rinsing water should not be too cold (for more comfort while rinsing for the minimum required rinsing time of 15 minutes) nor too hot (to avoid aggravating eye or face injuries and to avoid scalding).
We would also like to remind our customers that the emergency shower must not be used to rinse eyes, since the water flow is too strong and may aggravate eye injuries.
