Positioning assembly chain. This assembly is equipped with two standard double-locking carabiners, a locking rebar/scaffold hook, and a rebar chain. All carabiners are double-locking and meet ANSI Z359.1-2007 standards. They can withstand a force of 3600 lbs (16 kN) without distorsion. The 25 in (63.5 cm) long chain is made of steel like the carabiners.
This item can support a weight of 310 lbs (141 kg). Both standard carabiners are to be inserted in the lateral positioning D-ring located near the hips and the rebar/scaffold carabiner is to be hooked to the anchor point. One must keep in mind that it is necessary to have a full fall protection kit while using a positioning assembly because the latter won’t absorb the shock of a fall.
