This belt is made of nylon. It closes with a tongue and grommet buckle. The belt includes a black polyester lumbar support strip, 4 in (10 cm) wide. Together, they help reduce the back strain felt by a worker wearing fall protection or fall restraint equipment.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS BELT AS FALL ARREST EQUIPMENT. This belt is designed to be worn as a positioning accessory. A full-body protection harness must always be worn. In case of fall, a worker wearing a belt instead of a harness may experience serious abdominal injuries, or even death if slipping out of the belt.
