Side-split cowhide and full grain leather welding glove of a total length of 11 in (28 cm). Sold in pairs.

G602 peculiarities:
This glove is made of side-split leather around the wrists and full grain cowhide on the palmar side as well as on the back side of the hand. It features a wing thumb which is an angled construction with no seams on the palm side to obstruct work or cause fatigue, all this to allow a better flexibility. This one-piece back glove provides an excellent protection against brands which could land on a burnt seam since there are no seams to burn. Seams located in critical places are leather-welted better durability. Not only do these gloves protect your hands from temperatures up to 350°F (175°C), but they also protect much of your forearm.

Side-split leather properties:
Side-split leather comes from the slitting of thicker hides in two sheets: the surface of the skin, the finest part known as ‘full grain’ is the real leather as opposed to the subsurface, known as split-leather. Split-leather is quite resistant to abrasion, but thicker and may feature a more raw aspect and irregularities.

Cowgrain properties:
The grain, in this case, cowgrain, comes from the slitting of thicker hides in two sheets: the surface of the skin, the finest part known as ‘full grain’ is the real leather as opposed to the subsurface, known as split-leather. Cowgrain is mainly the most popular leather on the market since cowhide strikes a good balance of durability, dexterity, abrasion resistance, and comfort besides being quite cost-efficient.

Use for:
These gloves are recommended for light welding applications, but won’t measure up to jobs such as work in smelting plants and steel mills.

Do not use for:
It is not recommended to immerse this mitt in water or any other liquid brought to boil since their fabric only offers a limited protection against heat conduction. Even though leather provides quite a good protection against heat, it does not rule out the risk of burns or any other mechanical hazards.

Maintenance and service life:
It is not recommended to wash this glove since water and soap tend to rob leather of its natural oils which makes it stiffen and become brittle. If the nature of your work requires that you wash them, we recommend that you dry clean them.
