Endura® side-split cowhide welding glove of a total length of 15 in (38 cm). This model of glove has been designed for metal inert gas (MIG) welding and shielded metal arc welding (stick welding). Large one-size-fits-all, sold in pairs.

Superior manufacturer’s code: 505BU

This glove has a heat resistance level 2 according to ASTM and ANSI standards.

G603 peculiarities:
This glove features a wing thumb which is an angled construction with no seams on the palm side to obstruct work or cause fatigue, all this to allow a better flexibility. This one-piece back glove provides an excellent protection against brands which could land on a burnt seam since there are no seams to burn. Seams located in critical places are leather-welted with Kevlar® thread for better durability. At last, this glove is fully lined with cotton which combined to leather that has good capacity for heat absorption, provide a thermal protection. This glove may protect you from temperatures up to 350°F (175°C).

Side-split leather properties:
Side-split leather comes from the slitting of thicker hides in two sheets: the surface of the skin, the finest part known as ‘full grain’ is the real leather as opposed to the subsurface, known as split-leather. Split-leather is quite resistant to abrasion, but thicker and may feature a more raw aspect and irregularities.

Use for:
These gloves are recommended for application such as welding, smelting plants and steel mills.

Do not use for:
It is not recommended to immerse this glove in water or any other liquid brought to boil since their fabric only offers a limited protection against heat conduction. Even though leather provides quite a good protection against heat, it does not rule out the risk of burns or any other mechanical hazards.

Maintenance and service life:
It is not recommended to wash this glove since water and soap tend to rob leather of its natural oils which makes it stiffen and become brittle. If the nature of your work requires that you wash them, we recommend that you dry clean them.
