Agotex is a flexible fabric made of textured fibreglass. It is coated on one side with a patented treatment that gives it exceptional abrasion resistance and the ability to withstand molten metal splashes. This fabric withstands continuous temperatures of 1100 F as well as higher temperatures over a shorter period of time while being cold-resistant down to -100 F.
This fabric is offered in 3 different densities, 35oz, 40 oz or 60 oz. Please choose the desired density from the drop-down menu above, below the price.
Agotex is a material with high dielectric strength. In addition, it is resistant to most acids, alkalis and solvents. It is a very strong fabric with good insulating properties. It is also an excellent alternative to asbestos, which used to be used for welding. It can be used as protective curtains near furnaces and as a blanket against molten metal droplets during welding work. Agotex fabric makes excellent anti-stress blankets for general thermal insulation.
Blankets or curtains are manufactured in any size with sewn seams and hems on all four sides. The yarn used is aramid yarn known for its resistance to high temperatures. Optional brass grommets can be installed on the blankets/curtains according to the customer's needs. These grommets are installed at 12" intervals.
