About compliance to safety standards:

  • Compliant with CGSB 155.20-2000 Workwear for Protection against Hydrocarbon Flash Fire Standard.

  • Meets the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and CSA Z462-15 Workplace Electrical Safety Standard.
    - The coverall is rated for Hazard Risk Category (HRC) 2 (also called ARC 2).
  • Compliant with ASTM F1506-10A Standard Performance Specification for Flame Resistant and Arc Rated Textile Materials for Wearing Apparel for Use by Electrical Workers.
    - The fabric has an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of 9.5 calories/cm2.
  • Meets the CSA Z96-15 High Visibility Safety Apparel Standard.
    - The coverall is compliant with requirements for class 1 level 2, and for class 1 level FR.
  • Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) value: 11 for test with spacer, 8.2 for test with contact.

About APTV and TPP values:
We have observed differences between the values given in the manufacturer's data sheets for APTV and TPP. These values may vary according to the different standards considered. These values are subject to change according to the evolution of tests established according to the reference year of the said standard. The values displayed on our website correspond to those indicated on the garments.

This safety coverall is made of 100% FR treated cotton and sewn with inherently FR thread. The action back has pleats for more comfort when stretching and reaching. The waistband has an adjustable elastic band. The coverall closes with a front two-way non-locking hidden zipper, made of FR brass. Wrist and ankle openings are adjustable with snap buttons. The coverall has two pass-through openings on the sides for access to pockets.

The coverall features retroreflective silver (gray) stripes with fluorescent yellow edging, to ensure high visibility in most work environments. Retroreflective stripes are made of StarTech, a FR reflective material. The coverall has two vertical stripes at the front, two X-shaped stripes at the back, a horizontal stripe around the waist, a stripe around each forearm and a stripe around each leg.

This coverall has 7 pockets:

  • 2 chest pockets;
  • 2 slit side pockets;
  • 2 back pockets;
  • 1 tool pocket;
  • 1 clip strap at chest height.

About high-visibility colors:
It is important to note that coveralls that include a color other than hi-vis orange or hi-viz yellow are not commonly used for high visibility. Royal blue is not as visible as fluorescent colors or bright colors. Coveralls that include Royal blue are often used for aesthetic reasons or to avoid showing dirt.

Class 1: This class is designed for workers in low-risk areas such as parking lots and warehouses. According to CSA standard Z96-22, it covers the largest surface area of the body.

Silver-gray retroreflective strips are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and during the night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.

Care and durability:
Before washing, be sure to empty all garment pockets and close all zippers, snaps and hook-and-loop fasteners. Turn garments inside out. Do not soak. Do not overload the washer and rinse stubborn stains before washing. Wash in lukewarm water with similar colors and does not exceed (104oF or 40oC). Wash heavily soiled garments separately. Use a mild liquid detergent (PH of 10 or less).

Do not use detergents containing bleach or animal fat, or bleach-containing chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) or hydrogen peroxide in the wash cycle. Do not use fabric softener, as it renders garments flammable. Do not use fabric softeners, starch and/or fabric softener sheets. Garments can be ironed, tumble-dried, tunnel-dried or hung in a cool place. Cover retroreflective tape before ironing. Drying temperature should not exceed 149oF or 65oC. Use the "cotton" setting for drying. Do not over-dry. Do not use starch during drying.
