So it's important for Sylprotec to propose to you this high-visibility 300 Denier Polyurethane-coated polyester oxford "The Rock" jacket specially designed for you.
First of all, to be effective, high-visibility safety clothing must fit snugly and not float around the body. Clothing that's too large can get caught in machinery or equipment, while clothing that's too small can restrict freedom of movement and cause discomfort.
This jacket is the perfect ally for all your outdoor adventures. Thanks to its advanced technology, it offers exceptional waterproofing and breathability, keeping you dry and comfortable, no matter how intense the rain. With its slim fit and quality materials, the Pioneer® jacket combines style and functionality.
Don't wait any longer, equip yourself to face the elements with confidence.
Design:
Made from 300 Deniers oxford polyester with Polyurethane coating, guaranteeing total waterproofing and wind resistance. This garment boasts superior anti-tear and anti-abrasion properties, as well as a half-mesh back for improved ventilation and comfort. It features 2 lower pockets with flaps and a foldaway hood inside the collar. Its loose fit and back vent will keep you comfortable while you work. This jacket features a front zipper with snap flap and retroreflective tape on the front, side, back and arms.
These Polyurethane lined oxford polyester jacket is said to be manufactured with a 300-denier yarn; in layman’s terms, it is a medium-weight protective wear which is lightweight enough to offer comfort but is heavyweight enough to offer an effective protection. By definition, 300 deniers refer to the weight in grams of 9,000 m of the yarn used to make these pants, that is, 300 deniers equal 300 g. The manufacturer is unable to provide the polyurethane liner’s thickness.
Regarding the oxford term, it refers to the type of woven fabric. The oxford cloth is widely used in the industry, namely to manufacture dress shirts, jackets, bags, etc. The oxford weaving consists in interlacing a warp thread (horizontal line) and a weft thread (vertical line) to create the oxford’s infamous basket weave structure.
Water resistance:
Polyurethane-lined waterproof safety wear is usually worn by workers who may be exposed to remote risks of chemical splashes. Polyurethane is lightweight and porous; it’s thus ideal to manufacture light and breathable workwear. The manufacturer is unable to provide information on these rain jacket resistance to hydrostatic pressure. Upon examination and comparison to similar products, we assume that they can withhold a hydrostatic pressure of about 5,000 mm, i.e. they can withstand the pressure of a 5 m water column.
A waterproof rating is granted when a material has been tested under the pressure of a cylinder filled with water, in this case, 5 m high of water. This height defines the limit at which the material stops being resistant and water starts passing through. PU is lightweight and porous; it’s thus ideal to manufacture light and breathable workwear. Yet, during heavy rains and windstorms, PU tends to get waterlogged and lose all its water-resistant property. Once overloaded, polyurethane lets water leach into the rainwear under any pressure, e.g. by leaning on something or bending over.
We recommend wearing this jacket with the waterproof pant (VP5627).
About its classification:
CSA Z96-22 class 1 level 2: Low-visibility safety clothing for environments where traffic speeds are low, generally below 40 km/. Low risk.
Silver retroreflective stripes are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and at night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.
ANSI/ISEA 107-20 class 1 type O: "Type O" refers to garments offering daytime visibility only, i.e. they are not designed to be visible in low-light or dark conditions. The letter O stands for "Off Road." This can include clothing that doesn't feature reflective stripes or fluorescent materials, but does offer some contrasting color to aid visibility during the day. What sets this bib pant apart is the presence of retroreflective stripes on a black background.
It is important to note that black vest is not commonly used for high visibility, as they are not as visible as fluorescent or bright colors. Black safety vest are often used for aesthetic reasons or to avoid showing dirt.
Peculiarities of:
