This glove meets EN388 standards as for protection against mechanical hazards. This level of protection is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers, in this case 3112, where the resistance to abrasion is 3/4, the cut resistance is 1/5, the tear resistance is 1/4 and the puncture resistance is 2/4.

This nylon knit glove is so finely woven that it has almost no effect on the sense of touch which comes handy for workers that need to keep their tactile sensitivity. Nylon moreover doesn’t lint and latex foam offers an excellent grip on wet surfaces and the best grip there is on dry surfaces.

Nylon properties:
Nylon exhibits good mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. It is also highly wear-resistant, mostly to friction, it doesn’t strain the hand easily and it resist well to heat, but not to an open flame. Nylon has a little to no absorbent quality which is ideal if you want to keep your hands dry while working.

Latex foam properties:
Latex foam has essentially the same properties as regular natural latex. The difference lies in the additives dispersed slightly through the compounding – in this case, a vulcanizing agent and a gelling agent are added, which causes a small loss of elasticity. Latex foam doesn’t offer a good barrier performance to viruses and blood borne pathogens, and liquids for that matter, since the frothing of latex makes it porous, thus permeable. As long as the limitations on use set by the manufacturer are respected, your latex glove will remain comfortable and offer a good dexterity.

Use for:
According to the manufacturer, this glove is ideal for construction work and renovations, material handling and general manual work which requires sensitivity, dexterity and protection.

Do not use for:
As regards the chemical resistance of latex foam, it easily undergoes degradation when in contact with organic solvents and hydrocarbons. Since the glove is partially covered, it is not recommended to submerge it in liquids. Natural rubber latex contains latex proteins, a known allergen. A simple contact with that protein can lead to a reaction or the development of a Type-I allergy, that is, a quick reaction sometime deadly. Symptoms may range from a simple skin irritation to a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction.

Maintenance and service life:
It is recommended to carry out a basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is, 85°F/30°C and a mild detergent. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
