Honeywell’s North Safety 4-point adjustable nylon chin strap for specific models of hard hats of the same brand. This chin strap features an adjustable mechanism rather than being simply elastic. Sold individually, 10 chin straps/case.

Advantages:
Accessories have been designed to help users meet task-specific requirements. Chin straps provide additional hard hat retention for situations where there is a risk of the wearer’s hard hat falling off. Indeed, your hard hat may become a falling object to anyone standing under you; a chin strap prevents such a hazard. Any worker required to wear fall protection equipment on a daily basis or so shall also wear a chin strap.
Nylon properties:
This chin strap is made of nylon, a strong a rigid polyamide quite resilient to mechanical forces. It also offers good resistance to fatigue strength, good gliding properties and quite a resistance to wear and tear.
Maintenance:
According to the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, one shall never draw the chin strap over the brim or peak of the headwear. That means one shall never unfasten its chin strap to fasten it over the brim. Same goes for stretching; the chin strap shall never be stretched to the point where it can pass over the brim of the hard hat. The CSA Z94.1-15 standard states that one shall inspect its headgear and clean it daily. It is recommended to clean the chin strap with lukewarm water and a mild soap such as dish soap.
