SAM Splint. A multipurpose, flexible splint made of foam with an aluminium core.
Great for first aid, for temporary immobilization of fractures, sprains, strains, etc, especially in remote locations.
The SAM splint is a perfect addition to first aid kits. This splint is used by hikers, paramedics, EMTs, athletes, military personnel, and many more.
This splint has an aluminium core covered with soft foam padding. It can easily be cut if needed, using simple scissors.
The SAM splint is light, waterproof, reusable, compact and transparent to X-rays, so that radiographies (X-rays) can be taken without removing the splint. The splint can be molded to the shape of the injured limb. It protects injuries by remaining rigid once molded.
