3M rechargeable Lithium-Ion high nominal capacity battery pack. Sold individually. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

This battery pack has been design for TR-600 Versaflo powered air purifying respirator only. It has a nominal capacity of 8 to 18 hours and can recharge fully in no less than 3.5 hours under the right conditions. Please note that this battery pack must be used with its corresponding charger only or the manufacturer doesn’t acknowledge its product reliability. Indeed, every battery has a different charge algorithm, voltage and amperage which makes it unique, thus need a unique charger. This battery pack can withstand up to 250 charge cycles as long as charged with the right charger.

This battery is equipped with a battery charging indicator. This indicator uses a set of 5 bars to display the approximate state of charge. Each bar represents a bay of 20%, thus 5 bars means the battery is charged from 80% to 100% of its capacity. The charging indicator calculates the state of the battery according to its real capacity. Lithium-Ion batteries degrade progressively, with reduced capacity at every charging cycle. This is the reason why after a while, your battery might display 4 bars only (80%) after a full charge. It simply means that your battery has fade to, for this example, 80% of its initial capacity.

The manufacturer estimates that the battery can withstand up to 250 charging cycles. For instance, if one uses 20% of a battery then charge it, the number of charging cycle will calculated proportionally to the actual charging amount, which is 20%.

It gets its NIOSH homologation when combined with the corresponding Versaflo components recognized by the manufacturer.

Please note that you should never dispose of batteries through the standard garbage collection service, since batteries represent a fire and explosion hazard and the chemicals are considered potential risk for environmental hazard. In the province of Quebec, you can dispose of your batteries through ecocenters where the right installation allows the storage and disposal of hazardous wastes such as batteries.

3M recommends to never store this battery on its charger for a maximum battery life.

Maintenance

You may hand wash the battery with a soft cloth and gentle soap. If you wish to decontaminate your battery, you submerge it with the help of the cleaning and storage kit RVTR653. Simply seal the electrical contacts with the battery connector cover which wraps around the battery. Please note that if the battery is submerged, it has to be in depth of maximum 2 feet and for a period of maximum 2 minutes.
