Design:
This high-visibility safety vest features silver retroreflective stripes with fluorescent yellow trim. This high-visibility safety vest features Startech® silver retroreflective stripes. Silver retroreflective stripes alternate with fluorescent yellow stripes. They form a configuration of 2 vertical stripes at the front, 2 crossed X stripes at the back and 1 horizontal stripe at the waist.
The vest's front panel is made from a breathable, tear-resistant 300-denier polyester twill Oxford knit pattern. It also features a polyester mesh panel on the back for added comfort.
The term oxford refers to the type of weave. Oxford is widely used in industry, notably for the manufacture of shirts, coats, bags and so on. Oxford weave is obtained by crossing a weft thread (horizontal thread) and a warp thread (vertical thread) to create its characteristic check pattern.
By definition, 300 denier expresses the weight of 300 grams for 9 meters of yarn. Polyester twill is a popular weaving pattern characterized by diagonal lines on the face of the fabric.
The vest closes with a sturdy zipper. The back of the jacket has an opening for the back ring of a safety harness. The front of the vest has two gray shoulder straps for hanging tools, IDs or radiotelephones. The eyelets, of which there are 4, are useful for a signal tape dispenser or for attaching small tools.

About its classification :
Fluorescent orange is highly visible during the day and in conditions with a lot of artificial light. In most situations, it also offers high contrast with the background. Fluorescent orange is less visible at night and in conditions of low natural or artificial light, for example at dawn or dusk.
Silver retroreflective stripes are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and at night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.
Complies with CSA Z96-22 Class 2 Level 2: High-visibility safety clothing for workers operating in close proximity to road traffic with a maximum speed limit of 80 km/h. This class is intended for workers in LOW or MODERATE RISK areas, who require greater visibility in poor weather or low light conditions.
Compliant with American standard ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class 2, type P and R: essentially identical to the Canadian standard, it applies to workers who are exposed to moderate levels of risk, when the speed of surrounding vehicle traffic varies between 60 and 80 km/h, or for working conditions requiring greater visibility.
With regard to Type P and R.
Type P: Type P (Public Safety) applies to high-visibility garments specifically designed for first responders such as firefighters, police officers and other public safety personnel. These garments are designed to offer optimum visibility throughout the day and night, including in low-light conditions, to ensure the safety of workers responding to emergency situations.
Type R: Type R (Roadway) is designed for workers who are exposed to the hazards of road traffic. This includes construction workers, road maintenance workers and other professionals working in close proximity to road traffic. Type R garments are designed to offer high visibility in all light conditions, day and night.
Application:
High-visibility clothing must be worn when working on pavements and roads, and is worn to warn drivers and other vehicle operators of the presence of a worker.
Restriction:
This vest does not provide protection against flames or electric arcs. Do not use bleach, iron or dry clean.
Care and durability:
