These waterproof bib pant will adapt perfectly to your morphology for optimum work comfort. Complies with ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 type E standards.
These polyurethane-laminated polyester bib pants are made with 300-denier yarns. In simpler terms, these bib pants are medium weight: light enough to offer comfort and heavy enough to provide adequate protection. By definition, 300 deniers express the weight of 9,000 m of yarn used, so 300 deniers equal 300 g. The manufacturer is unable to provide the thickness of the polyurethane lamination.
The term oxford refers to the type of weave. Oxford is widely used in industry, notably for the manufacture of shirts, pants, bags and so on. The oxford weave is obtained by crossing a weft thread (horizontal thread) and a warp thread (vertical thread) so as to create the squared appearance that is so characteristic of it.
Waterproofing :
Polyurethane-coated waterproof garments are generally worn by workers exposed to low-risk chemical splashes. Polyurethane is a light, porous material. It provides a lightweight, breathable garment. The manufacturer is unable to disclose the hydrostatic resistance of its waterproof bib pants. By examining the product and comparing it to other similar products, we can deduce that its hydrostatic resistance is around 5000 mm, i.e. these bib pants withstand a 5 m water column.
The impermeability rating is obtained by pressurizing the fabric with a water cylinder, in this case filled with water up to a height of 5m. This height expresses the water limit at which the first drops of water penetrate the fabric. Polyurethane is ideal for lightweight, breathable garments. However, in the event of heavy rain and strong winds, polyurethane becomes saturated with water and loses its impermeability. Once waterlogged, polyurethane allows water to penetrate inside the bib pants under the slightest pressure, for example, when bending over or leaning against something.
Choose "The Rock®" for uncompromising safety and comfort!
We recommend you wear these overalls with the men's jacket (VP5626).
About its classification:
Fluorescent orange is highly visible during the day and in conditions with a lot of artificial light. In most situations, it also offers high contrast with the background. Fluorescent orange is less visible at night and in conditions of low natural or artificial light, for example at dawn or dusk.
Silver retroreflective stripes are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and at night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.
Complies with CSA standard Z96-22 class 2 level 2: High-visibility safety clothing for workers who perform their duties in close proximity to road traffic and whose maximum speed is 80 km/h. This class is intended for workers in LOW or MODERATE RISK areas, who require greater visibility in poor weather or low-light conditions. If the bib pants (VP5627) are used in combination with the complementary jacket (VP5626), the ensemble increases to class 3 level 2. This increases the compliance range in the presence of vehicles with higher speeds.
Compliant with ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class E is an American standard that applies to workers on roads or in areas where there are a lot of moving vehicles and equipment. Class 2 type E is a VSHV category that must have enough brightly colored fabric and light-reflecting stripes to make you clearly visible. The brightly colored fabric can be yellow-green, orange-red or red, and may or may not be fluorescent.
Type E refers to a type of high-visibility safety garment which, when worn alone, does not meet the requirements of a single class. This is an important consideration for professionals who need maximum visibility in potentially hazardous working environments. If the bib pants (VP5627) are used with the complementary jacket (VP5626), the overall rating increases to class R.
High-visibility safety clothing features reflective strips that reflect light and can therefore be seen from over 250 meters away to ensure your safety, and for Sylprotec this is essential.
