Design:
This low-visibility safety vest features silver retroreflective stripes with fluorescent yellow trim. This low-visibility safety vest features Startech® silver retroreflective stripes. Silver retroreflective stripes alternate with fluorescent yellow stripes. They form a configuration of 2 vertical stripes at the front, 2 crossed X stripes at the back and 1 horizontal stripe at the waist.
The vest's front panel is made from a breathable, tear-resistant 300-denier polyester twill Oxford knit pattern. It also features a polyester mesh panel on the back for added comfort.
The term oxford refers to the type of weave. Oxford is widely used in industry, notably for the manufacture of shirts, coats, bags and so on. Oxford weave is obtained by crossing a weft thread (horizontal thread) and a warp thread (vertical thread) to create its characteristic check pattern.
By definition, 300 denier expresses the weight of 300 grams for 9 meters of yarn. Polyester twill is a popular weaving pattern characterized by diagonal lines on the face of the fabric.
The vest closes with a sturdy zipper. The back of the vest has an opening for the back ring of a safety harness. The front of the vest has two gray shoulder straps for hanging tools, IDs or radiotelephones. The eyelets, of which there are 4, are useful for a signal tape dispenser or for attaching small tools.

About its classification :
CSA Z96-22 class 1 level 2: this class is intended for workers in low-risk areas such as parking lots and warehouses. The garments are suitable for environments where vehicle speeds do not exceed approximately 30 km/h (20 mph). They are designed to provide adequate visibility in low-risk conditions, using high-performance retro-reflective materials and fluorescent colors to ensure that workers are seen in low-risk traffic environments.
ANSI/ISEA 107-20 class 1 type O: “Type O” refers to garments offering daytime visibility only, i.e. they are not designed to be visible in low-light or dark conditions. The letter O stands for “Off Road”. This can include clothing that doesn't feature reflective stripes or fluorescent materials, but does offer some contrasting color to aid visibility during the day. What sets this jacket apart is the presence of retroreflective stripes on a black background. ANSI/ISEA 107-20 Class 1 Type O certified garments are suitable for environments where surrounding vehicle speeds do not exceed 40 km/h (25 mph). These garments provide adequate visibility for workers in low-risk traffic environments.
It is important to note that black workwear is not commonly used for high visibility, as it is not as visible as fluorescent or bright colors. Black workwear is often used for aesthetic reasons or to avoid showing dirt.
Silver retroreflective stripes are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and at night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.
Restriction:
This vest does not provide protection against flames or electric arcs. Do not use bleach, iron or dry clean.
Care and durability:
Hand-wash with cold water and mild detergent, without using bleach, fabric softener or dryer. Wash inside out to reduce abrasion and marks.
