Design:

This traffic vest is made of breathable HI-VIS Polyester FR mesh fabric and treated for flame resistance. It complies with CSA Z96-20 Class 2 Level 2 and ANSI 107-2015 standards. It features 5 X-shaped reflective stripes on the back. The 4" contrasting color stripe and 2" reflective silver stripe on the front, back and waist increase visibility and ensure that you can be easily seen in low-light conditions. The hook-and-loop adjustable front closure offers a secure, customizable fit for maximum comfort. It also features a D-ring access slot on the back of the vest.

It features 5 Velcro® attachment points for easy detachment in case of snagging or emergency. It is available in several sizes, from small to 5XL, to suit all body shapes.

About its classification:
Flame-retardant orange signal clothing is protective clothing that combines two features: high visibility and flame resistance. They are designed for workers who are exposed to the risks of fires, materials yet need to be visible in low or poor light conditions. 

Class 2: High-visibility safety clothing for workers who perform their duties close to road traffic and whose maximum speed is 80 km/h. Low to moderate risk. 

ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 is an American standard that applies to workers on highways or in areas with a lot of moving vehicles and equipment. Class 3 type R is a VSHV category that must have enough brightly colored fabric and light-reflecting stripes to make you clearly visible. The brightly colored fabric can be yellow-green, orange-red or red, and may or may not be fluorescent. 

Fluorescent orange is highly visible during the day and in conditions with lots of artificial light. In most situations, it also offers high contrast with the background. Fluorescent orange, however, is less visible at night and in conditions of low natural or artificial light, such as dawn or dusk. 

The silver-gray retroreflective stripes are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and during the night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.

What are the safety standards for flame-retardant clothing?

Flame-retardant garments must meet strict safety standards that measure their ability to resist heat, extinguish quickly and not melt or tear. These standards vary by country and industry, but some of the most common are. 

- CGSB 155.20-2017, which governs the flame and arc protective clothing for workers exposed to electrical hazards in Canada.

- CSA Z96-15, which governs high-visibility clothing for workers exposed to traffic hazards in Canada.

- CSA Z462-15, governing electrical safety practices for Canadian workplaces.

- ISO 11612, which governs heat and flame protective clothing for workers exposed to thermal hazards worldwide. 

Peculiarities of:
the advantages of flame-retardant garments are as follows:

1. Increased protection: flame-retardant garments offer increased protection against the risk of combustion or burns in high-risk work environments.
2. Flame-retardant garments are ideal for workers exposed to fire risks.
3. Durability: Garments made from flame-retardant fabrics are designed to last a long time, even in tough working environments.

The garment detaches easily in the event of entanglement in a machine, for even greater safety. In addition, high-visibility clothing must be worn when working on pavements and roads. Also useful for cyclists, joggers, hikers, and people engaged in outdoor activities in low-light conditions.

Application:
They are often worn by workers exposed to fire hazards, such as firefighters, construction workers and industrial workers. Where there is a risk of combustion in the workplace, flame-retardant clothing must be worn. Any flame and heat protective fabric must offer the degree of protection expected over the useful life of the garment. Clothing characteristics should be defined according to the employer's assessment of workplace hazards.

High-visibility clothing should be worn when working on pavements and roads. Also useful for cyclists, joggers, hikers, and people engaged in outdoor activities in low-light conditions.

Restriction: 
The hook-and-loop fasteners could snag clothing, scarves or other accessories. For this reason, we do not recommend this vest if it is to be worn over delicate clothing.

Maintenance and service life: 
Machine washes inside out in cold water. Hang to dry. Keep high-visibility safety clothing clean and in good condition. Contaminated or dirty retroreflective materials reduce visibility.
