Design:
This surveyor's safety vest comes in blue, but you can also find it in red (V6683) or black (V6692N), as you prefer. Made from breathable 150 denier cotton twill, this garment features mesh ventilation openings under the arms, guaranteeing the ultimate in comfort and coolness. What's more, this garment is waterproof.

Featuring 50 mm (2") StarTech® retroreflective tape and alternating fluorescent yellow stripes. 2 vertical stripes on the front, 2 X-crossed stripes on the back and a horizontal stripe at the waist for maximum visibility, and a heavy-duty brass snap front closure to ensure a secure grip. It features a chest-mounted radiotelephone holder, four front pockets, five pen slots, seven multi-purpose pockets and a long back ruler pocket. It also features a D-ring opening, ideal for attaching a variety of fall protection equipment. What's more, it complies with CSA Z96-15 class 1 level 2 and ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class 1 type O standards.

About its classification:
It's important to note that blue workwear isn't commonly used for high visibility, as it's not as visible as fluorescent or bright colors. blue workwear is often used for aesthetic reasons.

CSA Z96-22 class 1 level 2: this class is intended for workers in low-risk areas such as parking lots and warehouses. The garments are suitable for environments where vehicle speeds do not exceed approximately 30 km/h (20 mph). They are designed to provide adequate visibility in low-risk conditions, using high-performance retro-reflective materials and fluorescent colors to ensure that workers are seen in low-risk traffic environments.

ANSI/ISEA 107-20 class 1 type O: "Type O" refers to garments offering daytime visibility only, i.e. they are not designed to be visible in low-light or dark conditions.

The letter O stands for "Off-Road». This can include clothing that doesn't feature reflective stripes or fluorescent materials, but does offer some contrasting color to aid visibility during the day. What sets this vest apart is the presence of retroreflective stripes on a blue background. These certified garments are suitable for environments where surrounding vehicle speeds do not exceed 40 km/h (25 mph). These garments provide adequate visibility for workers in low-risk traffic environments.

Silver-gray retroreflective strips are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlight, car headlights, etc.) They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.

Sylprotec tip:
To ensure safety in the field, the surveyor should be equipped with a Construction Helmet (TA14LR) to protect the head from falling objects and impacts. Securefit 400 Series safety glasses (YASF401) are also required to protect eyes from splashes, splinters and UV rays. Noise-cancelling earplugs (OA101) limit the impact of noise on hearing, especially in noisy environments. High-visibility work clothing, such as a surveyor's vest, is essential for good visibility and safety. Cut-resistant gloves (GZ13PEHPFN) are important to protect hands when handling equipment or materials. A fall arrest harness is also required for work at height to prevent falls.

It is crucial that the surveyor is trained in the correct use of this equipment and uses it systematically to guarantee his safety and that of his team.

Peculiarities of:
High-visibility safety clothing must be kept clean and in good condition. Contaminated or dirty retroreflective materials reduce visibility.

Application:
A surveyor's vest is designed to offer maximum visibility and protection in a variety of work environments, especially those requiring high visibility for safety reasons. Here are just some of the situations in which it's advisable to wear a surveyor's vest:

- When working on a construction site, especially near traffic or in areas with heavy equipment.

- When carrying out surveying work, where precision and safety are paramount.

Restriction: 
Make sure it fits properly, is clean and in good condition. Replace it if it's torn, soiled or worn.

Maintenance and service life:
