Design:
Featuring 50 mm (2") StarTech retroreflective tape and alternating fluorescent yellow stripes. 2 vertical stripes on the front, 2 vertical stripes on the sides, 2 X-crossed stripes on the back and a horizontal stripe at the waist for maximum visibility, plus a brass snap front closure for a secure grip. It features a chest-mounted radiotelephone strap, several pockets and a D-ring slot, ideal for attaching a variety of fall protection equipment. What's more, it complies with CSA Z96-15 class 1 level 2 and ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class 1 type O standards.

About its classification:
It's important to note that red workwear isn't commonly used for high visibility, as it's not as visible as fluorescent or bright colors. Red workwear is often used for aesthetic reasons.

Silver-gray retroreflective strips are highly visible in natural or artificial low-light conditions, as they reflect light back towards the source of the light beam (flashlights, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.

Class 1: This class is designed for workers in low-risk areas, such as parking lots and warehouses.

ANSI/ISEA 107-20 class 1 type O: "Type O" refers to garments offering daytime visibility only, i.e., they are not designed to be visible in low-light or dark conditions.

The letter O stands for "Off-Road.» This can include clothing that doesn't feature reflective stripes or fluorescent materials, but does offer some contrasting colors to aid visibility during the day. What sets this jacket apart is the presence of retroreflective stripes on a red background.

Sylprotec tip:
To ensure safety in the field, the surveyor should be equipped with a Construction Helmet (TA14LR) to protect the head from falling objects and impacts. Securefit 400 Series goggles (YASF401) are also required to protect eyes from splashes, splinters and UV rays. Noise-canceling earplugs (OA101) limit the impact of noise on hearing, especially in noisy environments. High-visibility work clothing, such as a surveyor's jacket, is essential for good visibility and safety. Cut-resistant gloves (GZ13PEHPFN) are important to protect hands when handling equipment or materials. A fall arrest harness is also required for work at high to prevent falls.

It is crucial that the surveyor is trained in the correct use of this equipment and uses it systematically to guarantee his safety and that of his team.

Application:
A surveyor's vest is designed to offer maximum visibility and protection in a variety of work environments, especially those requiring high visibility for safety reasons. Here are just some of the situations in which it's advisable to wear a surveyor's jacket:

• When working on a construction site, especially near traffic or in areas with heavy equipment.
• When carrying out surveying work, where precision and safety are paramount.
