Protective shield for welding work, with 10 oz fire-retardant cotton.

Ago Industries manufacturer's code: SC-010- :

This model of welding screen is available in several formats. You can choose from several options, such as the number of panels and panel size. Please select the model that suits your needs in the box above. These welding screens are also available in other materials. Such as translucent vinyl in yellow, orange, blue, green, dark green, combined yellow and dark green and polyvinyl. Consult the products activated by the hyperlink in green or consult the welding screen tab.

This material is specially formulated to absorb harmful ultraviolet rays, avoiding glare (“flashes”) to employees. Ideal for TIG and MIG welding stations.

This material is specially designed to absorb harmful ultraviolet rays, effectively reducing the risk of glare (“flashes”) for workers. It is particularly suitable for TIG and MIG welding. Although considered flame-resistant, this material does not withstand prolonged contact with flames or molten metal. In the event of exposure, it degrades but does not ignite.

These screens delimit welding zones, protect workers and improve productivity. However, their color reduces workers' visibility, which can pose a risk, notably by making it more difficult to detect an accident quickly in the case of an isolated worker.

The panels are suspended from the frame with hooks. The screen frame is made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant tubular steel, with folding, adjustable legs.

Castors are also available as extras. The number required varies according to the number of panels selected.

All vinyl panel color choices (except clear) absorb UV rays to prevent glare and burns caused by the electrical “flash”of the welding arc (photokeratitis).

Depending on specific environmental conditions, screens can also be made from other materials, such as fiberglass or aramid fiber.

Features :

  • Portable vinyl welding screen available in several sizes and numbers of panels.
  • Screens are available with single, double, triple or quadruple panels.
  • Flame-retardant cotton fabrics with a density of 10 oz per square yard, an opaque green color, resistant to flames and sparks.
  • These translucent vinyl sheets exceed OSHA requirements and meet California Fire Marshall's CPAI-84, registration #F191.
  • UV and IR filtering.
  • Reduced glare with this color.

Application:

  • Used in a variety of industrial environments, such as welding shops, construction sites or manufacturing lines.
  • They can be fixed, mobile or suspended, depending on specific requirements.

Restriction:

  • This material has the peculiarity of having a perceptible odor, which could be unpleasant in some places.
  • This screen is a passive protection; correct installation planning is crucial to avoid blind spots.
  • Although these screens are flame-resistant, they cannot withstand prolonged contact with flames or molten metal. In such situations, they will degrade but do not ignite.
  • Screens can lose their effectiveness when exposed to extreme climatic conditions, such as prolonged humidity or intense cold, which can weaken the material or alter the tint.
  • Dark tints reduce visibility directly through the screen. This can lead to worker isolation in the event of an accident. The choice of light colors or combined tints reduces this risk.

Care and service life :
Can be cleaned with soap and water, avoiding abrasive or bleaching agents. Can be repaired by replacing the cotton parts or replacing pipe parts.
